Take A Drive, Maybe Get A Job
The General Motors Minority Supplier Council and GM Minority Dealers Association, along with Pontiac-area churches and the City of Pontiac, are hosting a unique ride and drive event today featuring the latest GM products.
Spokesperson Kevin McCormick says the unemployment rate in Pontiac exceeds 30% compared to less than 14% for the rest of the state so they thought it would be unique to have a job fair along with the ride and drive.
Everyone taking a test drive will receive a special GM discount vehicle card. Refreshments are available and entertainment will be provided by local church choirs.
The Ride and Drive is being held at the corner of Pike Street and southbound Widetrack Boulevard.
