Suspected Shoplifter Crashes Car On I-75 During Chase
A suspected shoplifter crashed her car on southbound I-75 in Oakland County Thursday afternoon during a police chase.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Department says the driver was suspected of shoplifting at a Kohl's store at Baldwin and I-75. The suspect drove north on I-75 with police in pursuit. She then crossed over to the southbound lanes and crashed near Sashabaw Road.
An investigation is underway.
The woman was injured, but the severity of the injuries is unknown.
The freeway was closed for about two hours while deputies investigated, but reopened around 4 p.m.
