Suspect Wanted In Failed Canton Bank Robbery [PHOTO]
CANTON (WWJ) - He didn't get any money, but he did get away.
Canton police are searching for a man who tried to rob a bank Thursday morning.
Police say a masked man walked into the Citizens Bank branch, on the corner of Ford and Haggerty roads in Canton, at around 9:15 a.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding cash and a vehicle.
After the teller refused the would-be robber's request, the suspect exited the bank, removed the mask, and headed south on foot. No weapon was displayed and no one was hurt.
Police officers responded to the scene, but a search of the area with the help of a K-9 unit didn't find anything.
The suspect is described only as a skinny white male, around 6 feet to 6 feet, 3 inches tall.
Police released a surveillance image of the masked suspect. Anyone who may recognize the man in the photo or who has any information about this crime is asked to call the Canton Police Department at 734-394-5400.
