Suspect Sought In Royal Oak Twp. Murder
Oakland County Sheriff deputies are looking for a Ferndale man wanted in connection with a murder in Royal Oak Township.
38-year old Fredericka Dixon, a mother of three, was shot several times around 8:30 p.m. Thursday at her home on the 21000 block of Westview Avenue.
Police say the suspect, identified as Darius McCrary, forced his way into the home before allegedly firing shots and then fleeing in a red 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix with license plate number of CBY 0827.
Investigators say McCrary and Dixon lived together in the past and he had threatened her over the past few weeks even though they hadn't lived together for the last three years.
McCrary should be considered armed and dangerous. He has two prior convictions for property crimes.
Anyone with information about McCrary or his whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or the Oakland County Sheriff's Office at 248-858-4911.
