Suspect Sought In Campaign Worker Abduction
PONTIAC (WWJ) - Oakland County authorities are looking for a suspect who kidnapped and robbed a volunteer campaign worker over the weekend.
Sheriff's investigators said the 88-year old from Bloomfield Township was leaving the democrat campaign office in downtown Pontiac when the suspect jumped in his car, and, at knife-point, took his money before forcing him to drive to Detroit.
The victim was cut when he swerved to try to get the attention of a police car in Detroit. Police suspect got out of the car near 7 Mile Rd. and Woodward Ave.
The victim went home and called police.
The suspect is described as a male, about 40 year sold male. He was wearing a University of Michigan jacket and stocking cap.
