Suspect In Liquor Store Murder Heads To Court
SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - A Southfield man accused of murdering a liquor store worker ten months ago is expected to face a judge Wednesday morning.
Police say Bruce Butler allegedly shot Mike Khmoro to death last October while he was taking out the garbage behind Cronin's Liquor Store on Northwestern Highway near 12 Mile Road.
Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots in the rear of the parking lot and then saw a black, 4-door, mid-size SUV, possibly a GMC Envoy, leave the parking lot immediately after the shooting.
Southfield Police Lt. Nick Loussia said Butler was a customer at the store, but investigators aren't talking about a possible motive because the investigation is ongoing.
