Suspect ID'd In Shocking Stroller Hit-And-Run
MUSKEGON (WWJ/AP) - Police in West Michigan have identified a man they say backed into a woman pushing a stroller with her child inside and dragged the stroller before fleeing.
The Muskegon Chronicle reported that an arrest warrant was signed for 20-year-old Antonio Keshawn Raglin, who was being sought by police on Monday.
The warrant charges him with leaving the scene of an injury accident and driving without applying for a license. Both are misdemeanors.
Muskegon police said a woman was pushing the stroller at 10:30 a.m. on June 25 when the van backed into them in the parking lot of Sam's Drink All on Getty Street.
The Chronicle reports that surveillance video of the shocking incident was broadcasted on news networks nationwide.
The footage shows the stroller — stuck on the van's bumper — being dragged a short distance. When the driver stopped briefly, the woman and another person are seen rescuing the child from the stroller before the driver flees the scene.
The boy wasn't hurt; his mother had a scraped knee.
Police said a 17-year-old van passenger was arrested Friday on unrelated charges.
