Suspect Held In Woman's Shooting In Livonia Parking Lot
A woman held by Livonia police has been arraigned by video, in the 34th District Court in Romulus, on murder charges following a shooting that killed 35-year-old Amy Chesbro. Police are holding Jule Ann Hopwood as the suspect in the shooting.
Livonia Police say Chesbro was shot several times as she sat in her car Thursday morning in the parking lot of her place of employment on Victor Parkway.
Witnesses told police they saw a gunman who ran from the scene and took off in a black vehicle.
Chesbro was taken to Botsford Hospital where she died Friday of gunshot wounds.
Police haven't released a motive, but they did say the defendant is related to Chesbro's roommate.
Hopwood is due back in court December 28th. She's being held without bond.
