Suspect Caught In Year Old Valet Parking Death

DETROIT (WWJ) - Thirty four-year old Kevin Hill is facing first degree murder charges for fatally striking a valet attendant with his car more than a year ago.

Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee said Hill had been on the run until he was pulled over by officers for a traffic violation on May 2nd.

"The training that officers received from the Secretary of State's office fraudulent unit on identifying fake drivers' licenses and ID cards, the officers were able to detect almost immediately that something was amiss," says Godbee.

"The driver produced a Michigan State I.D. card to the offerers," said Godbee. "Further investigation revealed that the driver was in fact, Kevin Hill, who was wanted on a murder warrant."

Godbee said Hill argued and fought with valet attendant Jeremy Wagner before Hill fatally struck Wagner with his car and drove off.
