Suspect Arrested In Eastpointe Woman's Slaying
EASTPOINTE (AP) - A suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old business owner in her home north of Detroit.
The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press report that a warrant request was expected to be presented to the Macomb County prosecutor's office.
Christina Lazzana Webster's body was found Saturday afternoon after police were requested to check on her welfare. She had been shot in the chest. The side door to her Eastpointe home was unlocked.
Lazzana Webster and her husband owned Big Top Popcorn in Eastpointe.
Eastpointe City Manager Steve Duchane told the Macomb Daily over the weekend that Anthony Webster was accompanied by his attorney to be questioned by police.
The Detroit News also reports Monday that Lazzana Webster's missing Lexus sport utility vehicle also has been found.
