Summer Safety With The FFM Team

Summer is heating up and with that, the First Forecast Mornings team wants to remind folks about safety!

This time of year means more boat rides, more barbecues, and more time cruising the streets.  This week on Street Beat, the First Forecast Morning team along with WWJ-TV Chief Meteorologist Jim Madaus joins us to discuss different ways to protect yourself and your family.  

First, Colonel Kriste Kibbey Etue, Director of the Michigan State Police, talks to Traffic Reporter Randy Bhirdo and me about ways to stay safe on the road and stay out of jail.  She reminds viewers to always wear a seatbelt.  There are a number of ways police officers determine unsafe driving ... and she explains on the show.  Plus, she reminds folks not to drink and drive.  You can learn more driving tips at www.michigan.gov/msp
