Strike Threat AT EMU
As college students head back to class, will the instructor be at the lectern?
That's the question at Eastern Michigan University, where labor talks continue between professors and the administration on this, the final day of their current contract. Classes are scheduled to begin in Ypsilanti September 8th.
Further north in Big Rapids, faculty at Ferris State University will begin classes today without a new contract. Both sides have been bargaining the past 13 months over wages and health care, although that contract ran out in June.
