Street Racing Turns Deadly
DETROIT (WWJ) - At least one person is dead following a crash on the Detroit/Dearborn border.
WWJ's Florence Walton reports it was street racing turned deadly on eastbound McGraw at Lonyo. Detroit Police Investigator Charles Wills told Florence that the driver of a late model Honda was racing the driver of a newer Impala when the Honda lost control and crashed into a building.
"Vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed, one lost control, hit a curb," Wills said.
Those who survived, as many as six people in the Honda, were taken to Detroit Receiving and Henry Ford hospitals.
