Storms Leave Thousands Without Power
TAYLOR (WWJ) - Thunderstorms that moved through the region Monday night might have been brief, but caused plenty of problems.
DTE Energy said the storm knocked out power to about 2,500 homes and businesses in metro Detroit.
A majority of those outages are in Taylor, along Pardee between Wick and Goddard.

Amber Kinney, who lives near Goddard and Beech Daly, said it almost looks like a tornado went through her neighborhood.
"We have two trees laying in the middle of the street, the neighbor's fence is down, swing sets are tipped over," she said. "I found pieces of my chimney laying in the front yard and by the side of the house."
Other problem areas include about 900 outages in the Woodward and Square Lake area in Bloomfield Hills, and 500 outages in Northville Township.
A DTE Energy spokesperson said crews are currently working to restore the power, but he couldn't say how long before everyone is back online.
