Tears Flow As Steve Harvey Honors Wife Marjorie With Personal Story
Wednesday's special Mother's Day episode of "Steve Harvey" brought tears to many viewers eyes as Harvey delivered an on-air heartfelt testimony about his life and how his wife Marjorie has not only transformed him, but his children's lives from previous relationships.
Marjorie was surprised by the tribute since she was invited to the show under the premise of helping Steve honor mothers. She graciously accepted the praise and joked about how her tears would mess up the hours of beautification the show's makeup team worked on.
Harvey, who has been married three times before Marjorie, has four children and said he struggled with family issues and his own fame before meeting her.
"You allowed me to stop existing and start living," he said tearing up.
Fighting an emotional breakdown Harvey continued to shower his wife with the details of how she helped him and his kids. "What you've done for Wynton in balancing his life out. He was so far behind that you dropped everything and turned our son into an A, B student."
Harvey attributed even simple joys being restored by the woman in his life, "... I was in such a dark place. I didn't listen to music anymore." "You gave all that back to me," he added.
In a reference to his past relationships and how his outlook has changed since meeting his wife Harvey said, "I discovered you can't make another person happy."
Marjorie broadened his horizon when it came to travel. "I went to Vegas. That was it," Harvey said as photos of Paris and other exotic destinations flashed on a screen.
"I'm by far the most ... I don't want to say lucky. I'm the most blessed man," he said concluding the moving speech.
The video has been viewed more than two million times on Steve Harvey's Facebook page.
