Steve Harvey, Barack Obama Talk Christmas Traditions, Surprise White House Tourists
Steve Harvey sat down with President Barack Obama for a one-on-one interview at the White House On Friday, December 13, 2013. The interview is part of a special episode of his daytime show.
In the episode slated to air Friday, December 20 on "Steve Harvey," President Barack Obama has an open conversation about his family, his life as a father and holiday traditions. Also in the episode Harvey unveils the final Holiday Gift Guide and presents a gift for everyone.
The two decide to have a little fun during the interview and surprise people on a Christmas tour of the White House. The young people and adults on the tour were star struck by the President and paid little attention to Harvey, "I've never been ignored these many times in my life." joked Harvey.
"They just can't see you behind the decorations," said President Obama graciously.
"Sitting down with the President is something I've always dreamt of doing, and I am honored to have the opportunity," said Harvey. "I'm grateful to President Obama for welcoming me and I'm thrilled to share this experience with all my viewers."
In Detroit, the episode can be seen on CBS 62 Friday at 3 p.m. It will have an encore airing on CW50 on a date to be determined.
