Sterling Heights Man Found OK In Southern Arizona
TUCSON, Ariz. (WWJ/AP) - A Macomb County man who went missing while hiking in southern Arizona's rugged Catalina Mountains has been found and is going to be okay.
Pima County Sheriff's officials say 31-year-old Jason Bruscha, of Sterling Heights, was airlifted Monday afternoon to a Catalina State Park command center and then taken to a hospital by ambulance. They say Bruscha was dehydrated and had several abrasions on his knees.
According to police, Bruscha was visiting relatives in Oro Valley near Tucson and decided to go hiking in the Catalina Mountains early Sunday morning. Relatives contacted authorities when Bruscha hadn't returned by 9 p.m. Sunday.
After local police found Bruscha rented car at a state park, rescue units from several state and federal agencies began searching. Bruscha was found Monday morning.
