Step-Dad Jailed, Secretly Taped Teen In Bathroom
FENTON (WWJ) - A Fenton man is being held on a $1.2-million bond on charges he secretly videotaped his step-daughter, years ago.
The Genesee County Sheriff's Department said a woman who is now 20-years-old said she borrowed a computer and opened a file with her name on it, and discovered the video and audio recordings of her.
The videos were made secretly when she was 15 or 16, and mostly of her naked in the bathroom and shower. Investigators say the girl's step-dad set up the cameras.
Fifty-year-old Gary Anthony now faces nine charges including creating child sexual abusive materials and capturing or distributing images of unclothed underage persons. He also is charged with using a computer to commit a crime.
Authorities said bond was set high, in part, because the Fenton man traveled frequently for his engineering job, mainly to Japan. A trial is set for May.
