Stefan Logan Won't Return Kicks Against Bears; Raiola Doesn't Know Who Melton Is...
DETROIT (97.1 The Ticket) At Lions practice Thursday, Stefan Logan confirmed to the media he will not be returning kicks against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. This announcement comes on the heels of one of the bigger mistakes a return man can make. On a free kick after a safety, Logan took a knee at the 4-yard line.
"No, I won't be doing this Sunday. I'm mad but at the same time there is nothing I can do about it," Logan said, adding, "I blame myself, I'm my worst critic ... I didn't lose the game, I didn't call the game. Game was already over, not like I lost the game for us."
Logan also talked about how on special teams all the attention is on him, saying, "I'm like the QB on special teams, when the camera goes on special teams it goes straight on me."
Lions Center Dominic Raiola also had some comments about the Bears Pro Bowl DT Henry Melton who called the Lions a "dirty team" yesterday.
"You've got a defense full of superstars and you don't hear from guys that carry weight in my book," Raiola said. "Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, Idonije, you know older guys, Peppers, the guys that have been there. We're talking about guys who carry weight. This guy? Not in my book."
When Raiola was told Melton made the Pro Bowl he responded by saying, "This guy made the Pro Bowl? Kevin Williams, who worked through injuries all year, Suh, who's a better player than this guy, he made the Pro Bowl? Come on."
