Stars In Their Eyes, Hundreds Line Up For Casting Call

TROY (WWJ) - The Somerset Inn in Troy was the site of a casting call for a new Warner Brothers movie that will be filming in Detroit this summer.

Hundreds of people with stars in their eyes - wrapped around the span of three tall buildings for a chance to audition for the new Batman movie starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.

Michael Frazier of Woodhaven was a little surprised when he arrived and saw the long line at Somerset Inn in Troy.

"I'm here until the bitter end ... this is a good opportunity so why not," he laughed.

Denise Butler of Detroit got up early to audition and was in line at 7:30 a.m. reports WWJ's Terri Lee.

If she lands a part, she's hoping that it leads to a new career. "It's worth for me to change my life and into something that I want to do that's gonna be productive and nice for me," said Butler.

Georgio Armour of Toledo is also hoping for a career change: "I'm a big superhero fan," he said, "on top of that, I love acting. I can boost my career."

Since the first time he heard about the casting call, he's thought to himself that he wanted to be first in line.

"I've got to get there, I've got to get there and I've got to be the first one there ..."

Close. Armour was among the first in the line.
