Stafford Faces Team That Gave Him '09 Moment Of Glory
Matthew Stafford's most memorable performance as a rookie came against Saturday's exhibition opponent, the Cleveland Browns.
Injured after a wild scramble on the game's second-to-last play, Stafford returned from a time-out to throw the game-winning touchdown pass, his fifth of the day, to tight end Brandon Pettigrew on Nov. 22. Stafford clutched his shoulder in obvious pain after the pass, NFL Network microphones caught him moaning in discomfort, and the Lions didn't win another game in 2009.
Center Dominic Raiola said that play deserves a special spot on Stafford's highlight reel.
