Altercation leads to stabbing in Adrian, police say victim has collapsed lung
An assault victim has a collapsed lung, but is expected to recover, after a stabbing Tuesday in the city of Adrian, MIchigan, local police said.
The altercation happened around 2:45 p.m. near the intersection of Maple Avenue and Ormsby Street, according to the report from Adrian Police Department. The victim was stabbed in the upper back, then was taken by Adrian Fire Department to a local hospital for treatment.
"Adrian Police detectives have developed a suspect in this crime, and seek to interview any witnesses with information about this event, or events leading up to the stabbing," the report said. "There is no known threat to the general public safety at this time, as it is believed that the suspect and victim are known to each other and that this was not a random event."
