Squatters May Be To Blame For House Fire In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit firefighters quickly sprung into action Friday morning as flames lit up the sky in Midtown.
Fire broke out in the early morning hours at a two-story brick home on Henry Street, near John R and Brush streets.
A Fire Chief on the scene said it's too early in the investigation to say what caused the fire, but it might have been arson or "someone squatting, trying to keep warm."
Officials say the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to two homes on either side of the house, which are occupied.
No injuries were reported. An investigation is ongoing.
