Southfield Establishes Healthcare Corridor Advisory Committee
The Southfield Downtown Development Authority has announced the formation of a Healthcare Advisory Committee, which will be responsible for providing input and guidance for the ongoing effort of the city's Healthcare Corridor.
The committee will help provide the SDDA and the city with advice and recommendations and will be leaned upon heavily based on members' collective experience in the health care field.
Committee members are already a part of the city's Healthcare Corridor and have a vested interest to see further development come into the region.
"We have a very remarkable list of industry leaders involved with this committee and we have no doubt that they will significant help our efforts to bring in more healthcare companies, practices, outpatient clinics and more to the city," said Southfield Mayor Brenda Lawrence, one of the committee members. "They will also help us to provide for more jobs for city and area residents."
In addition to Lawrence the committee will be comprised of the following professionals:
* Michael Wiemann, President, Providence Hospital
* Steven Reif, President, Oakland Community College
* Gerard Housey, CEO Housey Pharmaceuticals
* Mary Ann Tournoux, Chief Marketing Officer, HAP
* Dave Schriber, Chief Strategist Oakland County Economic Development/Medical Main Street
