Southfield-Based Lear Corp. Opens Facility In N. Africa
SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - A Southfield-based auto supplier is headed to North Africa, with the opening of a new plant in Rabat, Morocco.
Bill Fantini reports from the Wall Street Journal for WWJ Newsradio 950 that parts maker Lear Corp. has opened a new facility to supply electronics such as battery chargers to European car makers including VW, BMW and Renault.
The factory is expected to employ 230 people by the end of 2011.
