Sold Out Detroit 'Dirty Show' Puts Erotic Twist On Valentine's Day
DETROIT (WWJ) - Valentine's Day isn't all about flowers and chocolate -- especially if you're at Detroit's "Dirty Show" this weekend, where art meets erotica.
Founder Jerry Vile said the "Dirty Show," now in its 15th year, has become an annual Valentine's ritual in Detroit. The show features erotic art in all forms, from photography and painting to video and live performances.
And this year, tickets are sold out. Vile said he couldn't be happier, considering their new location at the Russell Industrial Center is their biggest venue yet.
"Unfortunately, there's no online tickets and I don't believe you can get them at stores. So, as far as problems go, you can't have a better problem than we have," Vile told WWJ's Vickie Thomas. "I still can't believe we're sold out."
Vile is expecting a total crowd of about 10,000 people over the weekend.
