Snyder Declares State Of Emergency In Genesee County
FLINT (WWJ/AP) - A state of emergency has been declared in Genesee County following a storm that caused major flooding.
Governor Rick Snyder took the action Friday to make state resources available to address remaining threats to public health and safety.
The storm started May 3 and dumped more than 5 inches of rain in and around Flint.
FEMA will help with an assessment on Monday to determine whether any federal aid may be available to help residents and business owners.
