Snyder Continues Shift In Staff Amid Flint Water Crisis
LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed a new director to his communications office and reassigned two members of the staff.
His office announced Thursday that Ari Adler will serve as the governor's primary spokesman. He will be assisted by two deputy press secretaries.
Adler has been communications director for the state Transportation department and spokesman for the state's Senate Majority Leader and House Speaker.
Meegan Holland and Dave Murray are being shifted to other areas.
Holland will be special projects manager in the governor's office, while Murray will serve as communications director for the Michigan Department of Talent and Economic Development.
Snyder has been criticized by some for Flint's lead-tainted water crisis. Flint was under state oversight when it switched from Detroit's water system to the Flint River to save money.
