Sketch Released, 2 Suspects Sought In Southfield Home Invasion
SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - Police are searching for two armed men who terrified a mother and her young daughter in their Southfield apartment last month.
The home invasion and attempted robbery took place shortly before 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, in the 28000 block of Franklin Rd.
According to police, the 25-year-old mom and her 6-year-old daughter were confronted in the hallway of their apartment complex by two unknown men brandishing handguns.
The woman told police the men forced she and her child back into their home and demanded to know "where the money was." Police said the suspects ransacked the apartment, but left empty-handed when they didn't find any cash.
No one was hurt.
Police released a composite sketch of suspect number one, described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s, around 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 160 lbs. He was wearing all black clothing and gardening gloves. He was armed with a silver handgun.
Suspect number two is also described as a black male in his late tens to early 20s, around 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 160 lbs. He was wearing a neoprene ski mask, a brown Ralph Lauren jacket, brown Ralph Lauren boots and gardening gloves. He was armed with a black handgun.
No suspect vehicle was seen.
