Should Down Syndrome Baller Have Gotten Special Treatment?
Scotty! Scotty! Scotty! That chant erupted in the gym when Scotty Lubkeman, a high schooler who has Down syndrome, was put in with four seconds left in his team's basketball game.
Lubkeman, who plays for Golden High School in Colorado, drained one, and the crowd screamed with joy.
Then this happened: "The kid has down syndrome and the game was almost over so they didn't play defense on him or call the travel."
And this: "Where is the defense ? God****, so that's the american level in high school?"
Comments on the You Tube video celebrating Lubkeman's triumph savaged him, said he traveled and wrongly got special treatment.
So, what do you think, was it wrong to give him a break? Let us know in comments below.
