Shots Fired At Detroit Police Officers
DETROIT (WWJ) - For the second time within a week, Detroit police officers were targeted while on patrol.
WWJ's Ron Dewey reports that the officers were on patrol near Kithcener and Frued streets on the city's east side around 9 p.m. Tuesday, when a man began firing shots at their squad car.
Nobody was hurt, but the shootings brought a search throughout the neighborhood, with no sign of the gunman.
The suspect is described as about six feet tall with a slim build and goatee. Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit Police at 313-596-2200.
This is the second incident in a week that Detroit police have been shot at while on patrol.
