Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Much Of Metro Detroit
PONTIAC (WWJ) -- The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for a large portion of Metro Detroit on Friday night as a large line of storms rolled through the area.
Washetnaw County, southeastern Shiawassee County and Livingstion County were all included as a part of the alert until 8:30 p.m. Oakland County was also under the warning until 8:45 p.m.

Northeastern Lapeer County, northwestern St. Clair County, Huron County, Sanilac County and Tuscola County were also included in the warning until 9:15 p.m.
Severe storms were seen along a line moving northeast at 65 miles per hour at around 7:30 p.m. High impact areas included Ann Arbor Chelsea, Dexter, Pinckney, Brighton, Howell, Hartland, Saline and Ypsilanti.
Residents were urged to move into an interior room on the lowest floor of their homes.
