A New Week
It's amazing how fast five days off can fly by.
We're hoping this will be the week that we get to talk with new GM CEO Daniel Akerson. The company has hinted that he'll either have a news conference or give some sort of interviews sometime after Labor Day.
Also on the agenda this week, stories on minivans, Onstar and we're expecting to get a chance to take a brief drive of Nissan's new Leaf EV.
Video Changes
Because we've had trouble doing both "First Impressions" video reports and final video reports on test drives. We're going to combine the two into a video on each vehicle called "Driving Impressions."
The hope is that will allow me to crank them out a little faster than before, but give you a little more than just the first impression of a vehicle. It will be based more on the schedule that I use to drive vehicles, than the schedule I use to review them on WWJ, which is limited to just one piece a week.
The neat thing about the web is you can keep adjusting things until you get them just right. That's the plus side of being producer, director, writer and star of your video production. The down side is that sometimes you want to do more than time will allow.
