Sentencing in Roseville Child Abuse Case
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Roseville man who beat and burned a one-year old child was sentenced to six to 15 years behind bars for two counts of first-degree child abuse.
Twenty-year-old Scott Carlson plead guilty to child abuse charges in February after being arrested on Christmas Day.
Carlson admitted to burning the feet of his girlfriend's baby with a lighter, because she was interfering in his Christmas gift wrapping.
The girl's mother was away at work when the abuse occurred. A grandmother who saw bruises on the child's back, buttocks and head alerted police.
