Secure-24 Gets Automation Alley 2013 Challenge Fund Award For Job Training
SOUTHFIELD -- Secure-24, a provider of IT operations, application outsourcing and cloud computing, announced that it has been selected as a recipient of the Challenge Fund Award through Automation Alley's Technical Talent Development Program (TTDP).
The TTDP program was made possible by a $5 million grant funded by the United States Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration. With its $750,000 portion of the grant, Automation Alley aims to create 540 new jobs and retain 460 employees in Southeast Michigan by selecting award recipients within its membership that give priority to training new employees and have an immediate need for resources.
Secure-24 is one of 12 organizations that was selected, based on contributions to the region's growing IT industry. Secure-24 is receiving $187,000 for technical training of both potential employees and incumbent workers. Over the past year, Secure-24's work force has grown 71 percent to a total of 343 employees, mostly based at the company's Southfield headquarters and Metro Detroit data centers.
