Too Cool For School On Tuesday; Frigid Temps To Continue
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - At least 30 school districts canceled classes on Tuesday as sub-zero and single-digit temperatures gripped parts of Michigan.

The National Weather Service said temperatures fell below zero early Tuesday morning and the wind chill made it feel like 35 below zero in the western Upper Peninsula.
From Lake Michigan east to the Thumb, high temperatures Tuesday are not expected to rise past 15 degrees.
The NWS says the combination of cold temperatures and wind speeds will lead to wind chill indices of 15 to 20 degrees below zero.
A wind chill advisory expired at 1 p.m. The low wind chill could result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors, the NWS suggests wearing a hat and gloves.
Meanwhile, DTE Energy says most power outages caused by high winds over the weekend have been restored. The utility says about 3,000 customers in southeast Michigan remained without power Monday night, down from a peak of more than 120,000. DTE said crews were working 16-hour shifts and most Metro Detroit homes and businesses were back on the grid later Tuesday morning.
