DETROIT (WWJ) - The first movie Hollywood heart-throb Ryan Gosling has ever written and directed premiers is set to premiere in one theater in Detroit Friday evening.
"Lost River" will be shown in midtown at Cinema Detroit.
The movie is about a single mother, swept into a dark underworld, while her son discovers an underwater town.
Karen McCant, a native Michigander landed a background role in the film -- something she's very excited about.
"It was wonderful to work with Eva Mendez and Ryan Gosling was wonderful, they were polite, they were helpful and they were engaging to the people in the cast," said McCant.
McCant, is an Eastern Michigan University graduate.
