Rubio Sets Mark On Trump During Stop In Michigan Ahead Of Debate
SHELBY TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Florida Senator Marco Rubio followed up on his tepid Super Tuesday results with a campaign appearance in Shelby Township.
And he took aim at Republican front-runner Donald Trump.
"We can not continue to move in this direction as a party - we can not elect someone who is trying to carry out a con job - look - it's one thing to tell people that I'm going to stand against illegal immigration, but you hired illegal immigrants to build Trump Towers. He goes around saying that he's going to protect American workers but Donald Trump, he hires foreigners to work at his hotels in Florida. Not the 300 Floridians that applied for those jobs," said Rubio.
Republican John Kasich also campaigned in Michigan Wednesday. The remaining GOP candidates face-off in Detroit Thursday night.
