Roseville Man Faces Criminal Charges In Death Of Man Who Fell Off Car
ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - A 31-year-old Roseville man has died from severe head injuries he suffered after he fell off a moving car — and the driver of the car is now facing criminal charges.
Roshard Murray, 23, of Roseville, was arraigned in 39th District Court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and causing death. Bond was set at $100,000.00 cash/surety.
The accident happened last Saturday at around 11 p.m. on the 2500 block of Pinehurst. The victim, whose name has not been released, died Monday night, according to police.
Roseville Deputy Police Chief Glandon said preliminary investigation indicates the man was on top of the vehicle or on the trunk at the time of the incident.
Glandon said it's not known at this time why the victim was on top of the vehicles and witnesses are still being interviewed. The speed of the vehicle has not been determined.
Murray will be back in court for a hearing July 2. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
