Rose: Blood-Alcohol Level Above Legal Limit
(Detroit-WWJ) Former NBA and University of Michigan basketball star Jalen Rose admits he was over the limit when he was pulled over in West Bloomfield Township on suspicion of drunken driving.
Rose, 38, a former Detroit high school standout, was involved in a one-car accident March 11. He says in a statement that he was "not feeling impaired" but acknowledges that tests showed his blood-alcohol content was above the legal limit of .08 percent.
No one was injured in the accident.
Rose was one of Michigan's vaunted "Fab Five" freshman who elevated the hoops program to national prominence in the 1990s. He played 13 seasons in the NBA and is currently a basketball analyst for ESPN.
Rose co-produced a controversial documentary about the Michigan team, "The Fab Five," that recently aired on ESPN.
