Roof Collapse In Port Huron
PORT HURON (WWJ) - The roof of an abandoned building collapsed in Port Huron Sunday causing the closure of Southbound Huron Avenue between McMorran and Grand River.
Officials say they were called in after a business owner nearby told police a window at the old Huron Athletic Club had been blown out.
When they arrived at the scene, they realized it was because heavy snow caused the roof to collapse.
The road is closed off in case there are any more collapses.
Officials say they will most likely have to tear down the building this week.
