Rochester High School alum James Young, who was ranked 11th nationally as a senior, is now a freshman at the University of Kentucky. Last night Young and Kentucky took on Division II Montavello. Kentucky won the game 95-72, but that's not what caught my attention. Montavello took the ball to the hoop when it was blocked by Willie Cauley-Stein of Kentucky. The ball headed out of bounds when the freshman Young hustled to save the ball. His hustle paid off, he saved the ball by throwing it behind his back. The ball went in the Montavello basket. The ball was 'shot' behind the Montavello 3-point line but was only called a two. I agree with the calling but Doug Karsch does not.
