Road Work Causing Slow Commute In Macomb Township
MACOMB TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Work crews are putting up the barricades to close North Road at 24 Mile in Macomb County for construction.
And, the long string of headlights seen on the southbound lanes Monday morning is just one indication of how busy North Road can be during the morning rush.
"There's a lot people that come from the north, from Armada and out that way, so going south in the morning is pretty busy," says Mike Jannette of Macomb Township.
He tells WWJ that it may take a little longer, but it's not impossible getting around the work zone.
"It's not like they got to take back roads to get home or anything," says Jannette.
Crews are doing sewer work at the corner of North Avenue and 24 Mile Road and are expected to finish by early next week.
