Rick Santorum Joins Lineup At Public Forum -- Including Romney
DETROIT (WWJ) - Mitt Romney's in town and not to be outdone, former Senator Rick Santorum -- and Romney's challenger for the Republican nomination for president -- has been announced as a headlining speaker for this weekend's Michigan Prosperity Forum in Troy.
Santorum joins an already notable list of speakers that includes Mitt Romney, Andrew Breitbart, Frank Beckmann, Herman Cain and Michelle Malkin.
State Director of Americans for Prosperity-Michigan Scott Hagerstrom is thrilled with the political figures who are expected to attend. "We are excited to welcome some of America's most highly regarded limited government commentators to the Detroit area," he said.
President Barack Obama along with presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul have also been invited to speak.
After the Saturday morning general session, a panel discussion will take place with some of the politicians. "Their experience and knowledge will help us shape the policy debate in both Lansing and Washington, DC," Hagerstrom said.
The Michigan Prosperity Forum will be held this Saturday, February 25th, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the San Marino Club in Troy.
