Rice May Be The Cure For Your Phone On St. Paddy's Day
DETROIT (WWJ) - If you have a plan to do any St. Paddy's Day drinking with your cell phone around - you may want to keep a bag of rice handy.
Best Buy Geek Squad Agent Robert Walker says your electronics are at risk when the booze is flowing, and rice can help get moisture out of a spilled-on phone
"You want to get your sealed container, and fill it with rice. Place your phone in there and then wait about 24-48 hours," said Walker.
But before you reach for the rice -- Walker recommends blotting excess liquid from the phone and taking out the battery -- because water and electricity don't mix.
