Reward Offered In Death Of Man Shot For Glasses
DETROIT (WWJ) - CrimeStoppers of Michigan is asking for the public's help to catch the person who killed Darryl Miller on the night of his birthday last summer.
Rose Ford tells WWJ's Chrystal Knight her 20-year-old son was leaving a downtown Detroit club with friends when they were approached from behind by a man with a gun.
They took off running, but the shooter chased Miller for his expensive Cartier glasses. The suspect took the glasses and then shot Miller -- the father of a 2-year-old daughter.
"My granddaughter shouldn't have to go to a picture, and tell a picture that 'I love you, Dada,' or kiss a picture," Ford said.
A $2,500 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers of Michigan for information leading to an arrest.
