Reward Offered For Tips In Murder Of Local Rapper
DETROIT (WWJ) - Who killed 30-year-old Detroiter Delrico Taylor? The body of the local rapper and co-owner of MGN Records was found in September in a garage on the city's east side.
Police said Taylor was fatally shot before someone set fire to his body on September 12 of this year. It happed in the 20,000-block of of Barlow between Hamburg and Collingham Drives.
A $2,500 reward is being offered by CrimeStoppers for the tip that leads to an arrest.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Taylor's mother Darlene implored anyone with information to come forward.
"Don't be afraid to speak up, because it could have been someone in your family that you love," she said. "I mean, don't be afraid. Have a good Christmas ... that money will come in handy, so, don't be scared. Speak up."
An additional $1,000 will be added to the reward if the tip is received by midnight Wednesday.
