Reward Offered For Tips In Murder Of Livonia Man In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Livonia family voicing a plea for help from the public in finding the person or persons responsible for the death of a loved one last month.
Tyler "TJ" Taylor, 20, was on his way to work, on Duchess Street. on Detroit's east-side Oct. 17 at 10 a.m., when he was shot in the head.
His sister, Jeannetta Thompson says — while other family members have said they do not hate the perpetrator — she does.
"My son, he asks where's his uncle, and I'm not able to tell him," Thompson said through tears at a Crime Stoppers news conference on Wednesday.
"I never thought that it would be this hard, but now that I don't have him, I miss him like crazy," she said. "I hate you so much! I hate you."
Taylor's grandmother, Elaine Taylor, is confident someone out there knows what happened.
"If you've heard something, or seen something, please contact the police," Elaine Taylor said.
"To the people or person's that's done this; I am not upset at you," said added. "I'm very upset at society that let you young people believe that you can commit such crimes."
There is a $3,500 reward offered for any tip received before midnight Wednesday that leads to an arrest in the case.
