Rest In Peace Rick Monash, You Touched So Many So Deeply [BLOG]

There are few people in life and this world that have such a profound effect on so many and are able to touch their hearts and inspire them to be the best they can be. Rick Monash was one of those people.

He was that rare human being who cared so deeply about making a positive impact on this world and touching others hearts. He was truly selfless in that way and was just as humble. Just wanting to put a smile on someone's face, give his beautiful grandchildren a hug, be the best husband a man can be, or to inspire his two amazing sons (one, my best friend Brad) to be the best human beings they could be, always.

Rick tragically lost his life earlier this week, way before his time, but did so doing something he loved. He was what I think the definition of a truly beautiful human being would be if you looked it up in the dictionary. His love and support of me unconditionally helped me believe that I was capable of doing whatever I put my heart to. He treated me like a son and being a part of his life is something that I will forever be grateful for.

I think we forget sometimes just how lucky we are to have such beautiful people in our lives and it is times like these, those that just don't make sense or seem fair, that remind us just how lucky we are -- that we always need to live our lives to the fullest, to be the best friend, father, mother, wife, husband daughter, son, we can be.

It is the loss of someone like Rick that helps remind us of that beauty and that we must do whatever it takes to be our best; Be kind, share our love, share our passion; To effect change in this world and make it a better place like he did every moment he was alive.

I am a better man for knowing Rick and I know so many others are as well. While he has gone on to a better place, the lessons he taught and the love he gave from his enormous heart will live on through those he touched. Always!

Feel free to leave a tribute or memory of Rick in the comment section below.
