Republicans Taking Another Look At State Budget Plan
LANSING (WWJ) - Senate Republicans are looking for an alternative to Gov. Snyder's pension tax. WWJ Lansing Bureau Chief Tim Skubick reports if that portion to the budget is out, there remains a $900 million dollar hole in the budget.
Senate Republican leader Randy Richardville says that after meeting: "we'll have taken a whole array of things and narrowed them down to a whole a more manageable list."
They are looking for an alternative to the Governor's proposed pension tax.
"Our goal is to take the Governor's bold budget, look at it, and see what parts we can agree with and what we can't, but we are not going to pick it apart, we are instead going to say, "A versus B" might be better if we changed some things around a little," Richardville says.
